Mission
& Vision:
Lakewood Catholic Academy will provide a Catholic environment in which all children can develop in mind, spirit and body in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Our commitment to Jesus’ message of peace will be evident in the love, care, respect, and guidance shown to all our students. Our primary purpose is the development of the Christian person.
Academic Program:
The essential element in our curriculum is the religious instructional program in which the truths and values of our Catholic faith will be integrated into all our curriculum.
In addition to religious instruction, the core curriculum will consist of mathematics, language arts, social studies, science and health, and physical education, supplemented and enriched by the addition of art, music, computer education and foreign language
We strive to provide a vibrant learning environment in which all students, including those with special needs and the gifted and talented, are challenged and encouraged to reach their maximum potential.
Catholic Community:
We recognize that a sense of community is critical to the success of our school. All people in our community will be recognized, welcomed, and appreciated for the contributions that they make.
Parents will be encouraged to be active participants in their children's education and to volunteer their special talents to enrich the lives of all members of our Lakewood Catholic School Community.
All students in Grades K-8 will have opportunities to integrate their faith into daily living and to expand the circle of community by participating in various service projects throughout the school year.
Extracurricular Activities:
We recognize that students may benefit greatly from activities that take place outside of the classroom.
In order to broaden our students' interests, students will be encouraged to participate in our many extracurricular offerings.
