Dear Lakewood Catholic Academy Families:
It is spring at Lakewood Catholic Academy!
As we near the end of the school year, it is an
opportunity to look back on our sixth school year and reflect on
how much we have grown since our founding in 2005.
Hundreds of images of daily life at LCA fill my thoughts
– our students, our teachers, and the community that all of us
have built during the past six years.
Your faith in this school and your willingness to entrust
us with educating the minds and hearts of your children is a
gift to LCA. It is
an honor for me to be part of the LCA picture each and every
day!
While it is good to reflect on the images of our past, we
must also picture our future.
The Fund for LCA helps to bring our future into focus by
providing unrestricted funds that help to bridge the gap between
tuition and the true cost of an LCA education.
Every dollar raised for the Fund stays at LCA and touches
each and every student.
As an LCA parent, you are closest to what happens here
each day and can experience the difference that our school makes
in the lives of our students.
We are grateful for the sacrifices you make to provide an
LCA education for your family.
We thank you for the time you spend as volunteers,
homework coaches, and models for your children.
It is with great humility that I ask you to consider an
additional investment in our students by making a gift to the
2010-11 Fund for LCA.
A gift of any amount to the Fund is important and
appreciated.
Additionally, this year, we are blessed with a special
opportunity to double the impact of parent gifts of $25 or more.
Last year, 13% of our current parents made a gift to the Fund
for LCA. This year,
we have increased that goal to 20% participation – 75 current
LCA families. To
inspire parent participation, an anonymous donor has issued The
LCA Parent Challenge. Between now and June 30, if at least 75
current LCA families make a gift of $25 or more to the Fund, our
donor will match all gifts - dollar for dollar - up to a total
of $5,000. We are
pleased to announce that another anonymous donor has come
forward and pledged to extend the match up to another $5,000!!
We are so grateful for the generosity of these two
donors! Gifts must
be made by June 30, 2011 when the 2010-11 Fund concludes Also,
you can triple the impact of your gift if your employer offers a
matching gift program.
LCA has received matching gifts from PNC, KeyBank,
Sherwin-Williams, Progressive, Fifth Third Bank, Moen, and
others. This is a
wonderful opportunity!
