It's Time to Register for Fall 2010 CYO Sports!

With the end of the 2009-10 school year just a month or so away, we are beginning the registration process for Fall 2010 CYO sports. CYO football and volleyball are open to students in grades four through eight. Cross country is open to students in grades one through eight. All CYO sports participants must be enrolled at LCA or in a PSR program.

The registration forms are due by Friday, May 28th. Each family will receive one set of forms in the take-home envelope. Need more forms? Click here to download the registration forms in PDF format.

Inaugural Corn Hole Tourney Supports Sports!

More than 100 Corn Hole & LCA sports fans participated in our inaugural Corn Hole Tournament late in March. Not only did participants have a lot of fun, but they raised nearly $2,000 to support our CYO sports programs! Thanks to all who attended and helped out, including our list of sponsors:

Lakewood Catholic Academy is the home of the Saints, and the Lakewood Catholic Academy Athletic Booster Club (LCAAB).We are a participant in the CYO Sports Program of the Diocese of Cleveland. Our sports program is comprehensive and includes a wide range of CYO sports choices for students in grades four through eight, as well as a lacrosse club program, a Ski Club, and several intramural opportunities for younger children.

The Lakewood Catholic Academy Booster's Club

The Lakewood Catholic Academy Athletic Boosters Club (LCAAB) helps to oversee the program. LCAAB is dedicated to bringing athletes of the school as well as the PSR programs from area parishes quality athletic programs. All CYO coaches are interviewed and are CYO and Virtus Certified.  Our sports program follows the same motto of the CYO: 

“CYO Athletics endeavors to help young people be more Christ-like in the way they live.  Our programs focus on the total development of participants in order to influence the formation of Christian values.”

LCAAB holds meetings throughout the school year. This year's schedule includes the following:

• Monday, January 25
  
• Monday, March 29

The meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and are held in the Eighth Grade Lunchroom off of the main cafeteria. All are welcome to attend!  Please note: Some dates are subject to change. Check back to this page often.
