Football Overview

• Open to LCA and PSR students:  Boys 5th – 8th grades

• Varsity Team: 7/8 grade

• Junior Varsity (JV): 5/6 grade

Equipment & Uniforms

• Practice pants and jersey, shoulder pads and leg (thigh, hip, and tailbone pads, & helmet for each athlete to use during the season.

• Game jerseys, pants, socks will also be provided LCA.

• Athletes are responsible for cleats, protective cup, and girdle

Practices

• Complete and current physical form must be on file before participation

• Begins first Monday in August

Standard practice schedule:

• Varsity: Tuesday through Friday evenings 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Lakewood Park

• JV: Tuesday through Thursday evenings 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Lakewood Park

Game Schedule:

• Majority of games will be played at St. Ignatius HS or St. Edward HS on their turf fields. 

• LCA Varsity and JV play at the same locations each week – with the JV game kicking off 2 hours prior to the Varsity. 

• JV players should arrive in full uniform directly at game locations 45 minutes prior to kick-off. 

• Varsity players meet at the LCA Shrine for team prayer behind school roughly 75 minutes prior to kick-off.
