Communications Envelope

Each week, Lakewood Catholic Academy sends a “take-home” envelope to each family through the family’s oldest or only child.  The envelope includes the school’s weekly newsletter as well as other important announcements and documents related to school activities.

Our Policy for Submitting Envelope Items

Frequently, we are asked by parents and outside organizations to include additional flyers regarding activities that are external to the school. Within certain limited guidelines, we do accept some announcements.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any take-home flyers that advertise commercial, for-profit activities of any kind.

Based on the review and approval of the Principal, we will accept certain flyers that promote non-profit activities that relate directly to the education of our students -- summer camps, events at Catholic high schools, and civic events in the City of Lakewood, for example.

Under no circumstances can we accept for distribution any documents promoting fundraising activities for entities other than Lakewood Catholic Academy. There are no exceptions to this rule.

It is incumbent upon the individual or organization to supply an original version of the flyer for approval by the Principal one week prior to distribution in the envelope. Once approved, an appropriate number of copies of the flyer must be supplied by the individual or organization no later than Tuesday morning of the week it is to be distributed.
